This video is of the Salt River, in the Salt River Range, Star Valley, Wyoming.
Last winter we had an unusual amount of snowfall. Some were saying it was about 170% snowpack up in the surrounding mountains. The sudden warmer days created a large amount of snowfall and run-off. This created some very high rivers, and some pretty impressive drone footage.
This year I’ve decided to once again do a photo journal. However, unlike previous attempts, I am only going to take one photo a day, and upload the entire month as a single post, instead of a post every day. These photos are just that–a journal. They are not meant to be glamourous or overly beautiful. They are meant to show aspects of my day. Every day.
First off, welcome to 2012! I have a goal this year to take and post more photos… So here’s to a good start!
This morning I took the opportunity to go take some photos. It was a cold morning (-4 as I was taking them), so I figured it would be a good time to go out and take some photos. The photos were all taken in Freedom, on the north bridge (between Etna and Freedom) and the South bridge, which is the main one coming into town.
