  • Ryker on the 1935 B

This is a favorite photo of mine. It’s my nephew on a 1935 John Deere B. You’d assume he is unhappy because his mother left him or something… But in reality, he was unhappy because he wanted to be on the 1938 John Deere B with rubber tires that was next to the steel-wheeled tractor he was sitting on (which is what he is pointing at).  Once I put him on the other tractor he was very happy.

  • October Through December 2012 Photo Journal

I finally got around to finishing the photo journal 2012.  As you may notice, there are many photos of me feeding cattle.  That’s because with the days as short as they were, my schedule basically consisted of going to work, coming home and feeding the cows, then getting home just in time for it to get dark.

  • Shuffling around the Classic JDs

I had to get something out from the back of the barn, and that meant pulling out all of the classic tractors…  Since I had them all out on a cold wintery day, I thought that would be a good opportunity to get a quick little video of them running.  What you can see is a 1939 John Deere A, 1947 John Deere A, 1949 John Deere B, 1963 John Deere 2010, and 1972 John Deere 4020.

  • Photo Journal Jan 2012

This year I’ve decided to once again do a photo journal.  However, unlike previous attempts, I am only going to take one photo a day, and upload the entire month as a single post, instead of a post every day.  These photos are just that–a journal.  They are not meant to be glamourous or overly beautiful.  They are meant to show aspects of my day.  Every day.

  • Wintertime Feeding Cattle

Even though we sold the dairy a few years ago, we still have a few beef cattle.  It’s kind of fun feeding them when dad isn’t doing it.  Here’s a few random photos of our cattle feeding experiences.

  • Random Summer Clips

With it being so cold this year, I thought I’d compile a small video of clips from various summer activities. It shows a small summary of life in the rural Star Valley Wyoming.

  • Summer Loading Alfalfa with 3020 B

I was recently looking through the videos I had on my phone, and noticed this video that I shot earlier in the summer.  Since it’s so cold outside right now, I thought a little touch of a beautiful summer evening would be nice.  Loading hay with the John Deere 3020 and pulling it with the John Deere B.
