  • Photo journal Nov 10

For my photography class we have a new assignment–to create on a blog a journal containing a random photo we took throughout the day.  This first photo is of my college apartment mate, Adam Weber.

  • Hello My Illinois Friends

I just looked at my stats for my webpage and found out that Illinois is the second most visited state to my site (second to where I am).  I don’t know who you are, but I thought I would say hello and thanks for coming!

  • October 18th Weekend

My friend Bernt Jenkins came home to Star Valley over the weekend, bringing two very kind Russian friends of his with him.  I went home to see them and to do a few other things too (namely get out of Rexburg for the weekend).  We went on a dirt bike ride in the morning and the girls got pretty muddy—but they had a lot of fun.  We then went to Jackson Hole and to Jenny Lake.  On Sunday I had my birthday meal with the extended family (a tradition we’ve had in our family for as long as I can remember).  Turned out to be a great weekend.

  • Rexburg kids…

It was 15 minutes into my System Security class when I received a phone call from my sister.  Apparently one of her friends was stuck in a riverbed.  My sister Kami was wondering if I could help pull them out.  Come to find out she was there for a date and they happened to get a little too close to the water.  Of course I did the responsible thing and grabbed my camera.

  • Sitting in my religion class

My Old Testament class is just starting, so I thought I’d share a bit of it with you all.

  • What do you want to see here?

I have been thinking about what to do for my next post, and pondering this question got me thinking.  I want to know what you, the viewer, would like to see on my website.  I can do a write up on anything from computer tutorials (Apple Mac, iPhone/iPod Touch, Linux Servers, Ubuntu VMWare Fusion Server, etc.) to things going on in my life, photography tutorials (moonlight photography, technical procedures), etc.  If there is anything of interest to you please use the comments feature attached to this post and I will do my best to write up something on that topic.  I have found that I can be a great technical/informational resource to many people, so please let me know if there is anything of interest to you.

blog.iphone-dev.org | PwnageTool and QuickPwn for 2.1 Firmware

The folks at iphone-dev.org have once again been able to release a jailbreak app for the latest iPhone/iPod Touch firmware–2.1.  Having just updated my iPhone last night to get some of the improvement benefits, I was very excited to see this released today.  I have a terminal emulator again. 🙂

  • First day of classes

Today was my first day of classes. I came in to Rexburg yesterday (Sunday) and attended my first classes today. My schedule this semester is going to be a killer. Today I had three of the hardest classes I’ve had back to back. I brought my bike down, but I don’t really know where to go around here so if anyone wants to go let me know.

Summer went by way too quickly. By the time the snow left it was nearly half over. It was a great summer though. I was able to go on lots of rides with Carson and Matt. We had a lot of fun. I hope the school year goes well…

I don’t have the Internet yet, so I am posting this from my iPhone with the iPhone app. I copied my server (vmware fusion image) to a mac mini before I left. Seems to be working like a charm.

  • Summer Slowly Winding Down

I went on a great bike ride up Caribou Mountain last Wednesday with Duston Turner, but I’ve been too lazy to write about it (I will later). I was, however, able to go out with my little bro Carson and enjoy a few minutes of the great outdoors. While we were stopped for a second I saw the biggest flock of Ravens I have ever seen, followed by a most beautiful sunset. It has been a great summer, and although I am looking forward to going back to school for a few reasons I have many things that I will miss about being in the beautiful Star Valley.

  • Crazy Weather the Past Few Days

Although some may hate rain and bad weather, I know of two groups of people that love it.  Farmers (if they have their hay in, as we do), and photographers.  Although I am not much of a photographer, I have tried to make the most of it.  here are just a few shots I was able to take.  Most are from today, one is from last night.
